At this time, the built-in Nivo Slider will only work on your homepage.
You can, of course, add your own slideshow code into another page, but you will need to get the code from a third-party and insert the code yourself.
Enable the Nivo Slider
note: You must proceed through the entire setup Welcome to Finish in order to fully save changes to your slider.
- Go to to Design
→ Homepage Design Options → (Nivo Slider) Set up my slider - Welcome
- When done, click Next .
- Behavior
- Transition Effect - Controls how the images look when changing from one image to another. ie (image fade, image fold, etc..)
- Advance Slide Automatically - Automatically moves to the next image in the sequence.
- Animation Speed - Controls how quickly to change to the next image. (This is control in milliseconds-ms | 1000ms = 1 seconds.)
- Show directional information - This allows you to display directional arrows to manually advance images in the slider
- Show Control Navigation - This allows you to display bullet points or numbers at the bottom of the slider to advance the images in the slider
- Pause Slideshow on Hover - If enabled, when hovering your mouse of the slider will pause the slider from advancing to the next image.
- Use Specific Slider Dimensions - This allows you to set specific images dimensions on the slider in Pixels-px
- When done, click Next.
- Transition Effect - Controls how the images look when changing from one image to another. ie (image fade, image fold, etc..)
- Slides
- Upload - Allows you to upload an image from your device onto the server.
- Link - Allows you to link a URL for use in the slider.
- Sort - This allows you to set the order the image will appear. (0,1,2,3,etc.. 0 would be first in the list.)
- Add Slide - Once you Upload or Link click this button to add the slide to your store.
- Add Slide - Once you Upload or Link click this button to add the slide to your store.
- Upload - Allows you to upload an image from your device onto the server.
- Existing Slides
- Image Preview - This will display a small preview of how the image will look in the slider.
- Caption - Allows you to add a caption text to an image.
- Link - You can link the image to another URL when the image is clicked on.
- Sort - You can update the sort additionally if needed. (0,1,2,3,etc.. 0 would be first in the list.)
- Update These Slides - Click this will save any changes you have made in the Existing Slides Section
- When done, click Next .
- Image Preview - This will display a small preview of how the image will look in the slider.
- Slideshow Preview
- This section will give you a smaller preview of the slider itself.
- When done, click Next .
- Finished
- When done, click Manage Homepage.
